Position Summary
This position, reporting to the Business Unit General Manager, has overall responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing operations including materials, purchasing, assembly operations, manufacturing engineering and shipping/receiving. Position has cost of goods responsibility within specified guidelines. This is the most senior position in the manufacturing operation. In addition, this position has responsibility for LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum requirements:
• Education - B.S. in Mfg Operations or equivalent required, advanced degree highly preferred. Six Sigma Certification is desirable.
• Industry Experience - Ten or more years in a related manufacturing operations management position.
• Lean Manufacturing - Improve manufacturing and material management processes through the implementation and use of LEAN manufacturing principles and productivity measurements.
• Supply Chain - Develop and implement effective supply-chain management practices to reduce overall costs, improve product quality and assure stable sources of supply.
• S&OP - Responsible for planning and executing Annual Operating Plans and overall responsibility for achieving Manufacturing Profit targets.
• Ergonomic Improvements - Lead effective efforts to restructure/eliminate ergonomically adverse manufacturing procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Lead, structure, and plan the management of the overall manufacturing operation to achieve company goals for product quality, on-time delivery, effective inventory management and manufacturing profit and productivity.
• Responsible for planning and executing Annual Operating Plans and overall responsibility for achieving Manufacturing Profit targets.
• Lead implementation of comprehensive and sustained LEAN manufacturing and training of personnel.
• Improve manufacturing and material management processes through use of LEAN manufacturing principles and productivity measurements.
• Develop and implement effective global supply-chain management practices to reduce overall costs, improve product quality and assure stable sources of supply.
• Drive JDE and follow-on improvements to the ERP system functionality in order to facilitate better decision making and efficiency.
• Lead effective efforts to restructure/eliminate ergonomically adverse manufacturing procedures.
• Manage preventive maintenance program for equipment and tooling in support of process and product excellence.
• Drive safety throughout Operations and identify preventive plans to prevent accidents.
• Oversee operations matters in coordination with direct/functional leadership at Parent Corporation.
• Provide facilities and safety oversight for building and personnel.

Required Qualifications:
• B.S. degree required, advanced degree highly preferred.
• Ten or more years in a related manufacturing operations management position.
• Green Belt level Six Sigma preferred...
• Demonstrated ability to understand, plan and execute dramatic change in manufacturing structure, systems and philosophy.
• Must be detail oriented while able to conceive, implement and operate systems and processes.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in motivating and executing against objectives, policies and procedures through subordinates, including non-exempt associates.
• Strong operational excellence background required and is customer focused.
• Ability to negotiate, cooperate and effectively interact with peers, superiors, subordinates and vendors to achieve results.
• Good ability to use PC & ERP tools for communication, data extraction, and analysis.
• Ability to independently perform financial and operational assessments of new projects or systems and current activities using PC based software.
• Must be able to travel to customer/supplier sites throughout the world (15% travel)
