| Our client, a leading supplier of sustainable forest products, has an immediate opening for an experienced Plant Engineer, to join their Operations Team at their corporate offices located in Ukiah, California. In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering • PE Certification Preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field; preferably in sawmill environment. • Must have experience with machine and machine control design as well with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical controls. • Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience is a plus. Position Responsibilities: • Subject matter expert (SME) in equipment design and fabrication process • Active in recommendation for best practices and use of technology • Teamwork with Industrial Engineers, Operations Management and Operators • Generate mechanical designs including specifications and requirements • Guide vendors on material selection and fabrication processes • Team with electrical engineers and electricians to coordinate and design • mechanical and electrical interfaces and controls • Teamwork with maintenance group in data driven root cause analysis and • equipment improvements • Mentor other technical staff in their professional development • Execute pilot and production release of equipment projects Hours and Compensation: • Market competitive compensation • Excellent benefits include paid Health, Vision and Dental Coverage, Vacation and Holidays, 401(k) Interested?
